What's the current status of the Affordable Care Act or the American Health Care Act?

Is "Repeal and Replace" Happening?

You've probably heard a great deal this summer about the administration's efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act. What's the status? What should you, as an employer, be preparing for? Let's review. This May, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill called the American Health Care Act, which would partially repeal the 2010 Affordable Care Act. The bill then went to Senate, where it was rejected in its current form. So, as of now, this bill has not become a law. But it still might. Confused? Take some time to relax, just like the U.S. Senate who are currently enjoying their summer break. Once they return, we may see a new bill or other developments on the "Repeal and Replace" front.
