Horizon Privacy Policy

Horizon is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy describes the information that we gather on our website, how we use and disclose this information, and the steps we take to protect the information. By visiting the website, or by providing your Personal Data by other means described in this Privacy Policy, you accept the privacy practices described herein.

  1. Definitions

Personal Data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person Contact: an individual who provides Personal Data by any of the means described herein Visitor: an individual who uses the public area of this website Live Visitor: an individual using the public area of a website in real time Policy: discloses some or all of the ways Horizon gathers, uses, discloses and manages customer or client data

  1. How, what and why we collect information

Visitors may provide us with Personal Data by filling in forms on the Horizon website or corresponding with us by phone, email, or otherwise. This includes information provided when subscribing for marketing communications, engaging in a survey, or reporting an issue with our website. The personal information you provide may include your name, address, email address, phone number and other information about yourself. We use information collected on the website to fulfill your requests for products, services, support, to contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients. We limit access to personal information about our Visitors to employees whom we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products, services or support to you or to perform their jobs. By providing Horizon with Personal Data, you expressly consent to our use of your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Our servers automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information, such as your computer’s IP address, the type of browser in use and pages viewed when visiting our websites. Horizon uses this information to understand how Visitors navigate through our websites, enhance the user experience while using our websites, and make the materials we post as valuable to Visitors as possible. We do not link this information to personally identifiable information on our website.

  1. When providing data is mandatory

You must provide Personal Data for the following reasons:

  • If you wish to submit a Contact form
  • If you wish to submit a resume or cover letter
  • If you wish to access certain Acadia-developed content for which a Contact form gate has been implemented
  1. To whom we disclose information

Except as described in this policy, we do not intentionally disclose the Personal Data we collect to third parties without the consent of the Visitor or Contact. We may disclose information to third parties if you consent to us doing so, as well as in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We work with third party service providers who provide marketing, website, application development, hosting, maintenance and other services for us. These third parties may have access to Personal Data as part of providing those services for us. We limit the information given to these service providers to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and our contracts with them require them to maintain the confidentiality of this information.

Non-personally identifiable information: We may make certain automatically collected, aggregated or otherwise non-personally identifiable information available to third parties for business or marketing purposes and to assist parties in understanding our Visitors’ interests, habits and website usage patterns.

Change of ownership: Information about Visitors and Contacts, including Personal Data, may be disclosed and otherwise transferred to an acquirer, successor or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets and only if the recipient of the Visitor and Contact information commits to a Privacy Policy that has terms substantially consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  1. Personal data access, corrections and deletions

We respect your privacy rights and provide you with reasonable access to the Personal Data that you may have provided through the means described in Section 2. Visitors have the right to access their Personal Data at any time. If you wish to access or change any other Personal Data we hold about you,or request that we delete any information about you, please contact us using the information provided in Section 13  Visitor requests for Personal Data will be fulfilled free of charge. We commit to providing access, making changes or deleting your information within 30 calendar days of your request.

  1. Third party web beacons

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to help analyze where Visitors go and what they do while visiting our website. Google may also use anonymous information about your visits to this and other websites to improve its products and services and provide advertisements about goods and services which may be of interest to you.

User- and event-level data are automatically deleted every 14 months. Aggregated data and that which does not contain personally identifiable information will continue to be stored. The data collected will only be used on a need-to-know basis to resolve technical issues, administer the website and identify visitor preferences; but in this case, the data will be in non-identifiable form. We do not use any of this information to identify Visitors.

Lucky Orange: Lucky Orange is a subscription-based tool used to track Live Visitor behaviors. Using Lucky Orange allows Acadia to see exactly how Visitors move throughout the Acadia website. This is possible by using heat mapping and viewing Visitor recordings, Live Visitors and form analytics. With this tool, Horizon Advantage is also capable of having online chats with Live Visitors, but this feature is not utilized. All personally identifiable data collected through Lucky Orange is stored for 30 days.

HubSpot:  Horizon has implemented HubSpot tracking code on its website. This code is used to track the behaviors of Visitors who have opted in to Acadia’s marketing emails. Personally identifiable information is not collected using HubSpot tracking code unless a user has opted in.

  1. Cookies

We use cookies on this website. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets Acadia know when you visit a particular website. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.We use cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic, improve our website and tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.Overall, cookies help Acadia provide Visitors with a better website by enabling us to monitor which pages Visitors find useful and which they do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. However, this may prevent you from taking full advantage of a website.

  1. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites of interest. Once you have used these links to leave our site, we do not have control over information collected by the other website(s). We are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy. Review the privacy statement applicable to the website you visit.

  1. Data security

Your information is collected, stored and processed in the United States. It is maintained on a HubSpot platform which maintains a Privacy Shield certification with the U.S. Department of Commerce to ensure adequate safeguards are in place when transferring personal data from the E.U. to the U.S. If you have questions about the security of the HubSpot platform, you can contact HubSpot using the information provided in Section 13.

If we use a credit card processing company to bill you for services you purchase from Acadia, these companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Personal Data against accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse and any other unlawful form of processing of the Personal Data in our possession. This includes, for example, firewalls, password protection, and other access and authentication controls.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is entirely secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical or managerial safeguards. If you believe your Personal Data has been compromised, please contact us using the information provided in Section 13.

If we learn of a security system breach, we will inform you and the authorities of the occurrence of the breach in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Data retention

We retain the Personal Data collected from Contacts and Visitors indefinitely. See Section 5 for more information.

  1. Opting out from marketing communications

If you receive marketing emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained within the email or by sending an email to the address provided in Section 13 of this policy.

After you opt out from receiving marketing messages from us, you will no longer receive marketing emails, but you may continue to receive messages from us which are necessary for us to fulfill your requests for products, services, support, or other legitimate business reasons to contact you.

  1. Changes and updates to this Policy

Please revisit this page periodically to stay aware of any changes to this Policy, which we may update from time to time. If we modify the Policy, we will provide notification on the home page of this website and indicate the date of the latest revision. Your continued use of the website after the revised Policy has become effective indicates that you have read, understood and agreed to the current version of the Policy.
