President
Brad Johnson is the President of Horizon Payroll. He brings over 15 years of experience in the payroll and HR industry and has been a part of the Horizon team since 2007!
Brad enjoys the sometimes fast-paced environment and is proud of the Horizon team, knowing they will all go above and beyond for our clients.
Prior to his days with Horizon, Brad was a CPA in a large public accounting firm that provided the opportunity to work directly with clients in a variety of industries. Subsequent to that, he became the CFO and part-owner of a privately held manufacturing business that had both U.S. and International operations.
Originally from DeKalb, IL, Brad enjoys cheering on the Chicago Cubs, as well as golfing and skiing when he finds the time! He is also the Treasurer of his Church and sings in their Praise Band.

Stephanie is known around the Horizon offices as the Chaos Coordinator. As the Operations Manager, she helps keep everything running smoothly for our clients and internally. Stephanie brings over 20 years of experience in the industry and has been a part of the Horizon team for 15 years.
Stephanie loves working with numbers and using them to navigate the changing taxes rules and HR regulations. Her job is to ensure all aspects of the payroll process are handled accurately and efficiently. For Stephanie, every day at Horizon is a new adventure; she could be handling payroll for a handful of accounts, managing staff, detecting and solving system issues, onboarding a new client, or assisting our clients with whatever they might need.
When Stephanie isn’t working, you can find her on a soccer field cheering on the teams her kids play for and her husband coaches. She also enjoys the great outdoors, hiking, riding 4-wheelers, and going on family adventures.
David Lemon

David Lemon is the IT Manager here at Horizon. He brings over two decades of experience in the payroll and HR industry, as well as 30+ years in IT, and has been a part of the Horizon team for 22 years!
Originally from Ohio, David served in the military and partakes in woodworking and photography in his off time. David enjoys working at Horizon because “it’s like a family”! He likes the small business aspect of our work, getting to know each client's quirks and personality.
If he isn’t working, you can typically find David in the woods, hiking, and taking photos.

Becky Sortman is the Tax Manager here at Horizon. She brings over 7 years of experience in the payroll and HR industry and has been a part of the Horizon team for just as long!
Originally working in Early Childhood Education, Becky finds that working for Horizon provides a great team environment and that each day is unique! She enjoys helping out clients and working with them to get tax issues resolved.
When she isn’t working, you can find Becky cheering on her children in their respective sports, being a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and cheering on the Buckeyes!

Scott Langer is a Sales Manager here at Horizon. He brings over 25 years of experience in the payroll and HR industry and has been a part of the Horizon team for 15 years!
Born and raised in Centerville, OH, Scott enjoys his job at Horizon because he gets to help people find solutions to their payroll problems! He greatly appreciates the team-first atmosphere and takes pride in Horizon’s top-rated customer service.
If he isn’t working, you can often find Scott volunteering with Centerville’s Noon Optimist and cheering on the local sports teams (Reds, Bengals, Buckeyes). Also, a little-known fact is that Scott was once a mobile DJ back in the day!

Justin Wilson is a payroll manager here at Horizon. He brings over 5 years of experience in the payroll and HR industry and has been a part of the Horizon team for 3 years.
He describes himself as a perfectionist and even took home an award for being Top 15 in the Country for Payroll Processing! Justin likes working for Horizon because of the family atmosphere around the office and friendly relationships with clients. Each day, Justin can process anywhere from 20 to 50 payrolls, and won’t leave the office until they are finished!
Born and raised in the Miami Valley, Justin grew up playing baseball, and even suited up at Miami University! These days, you can often find him out on the disc golf course and cheering on the Reds, Bengals, and Buckeyes.

Known as “Lil’ Bit”, or LB, around the office, Kelly is usually never bored as she covers and works with almost everyone! She loves the “big family” atmosphere at Horizon and enjoys learning something new every day.
